Workspaces

Give clients and teams a home, then brand and archive them as the work changes.

A workspace is where product data lives. The portal creates and brands it. Tides, TurtleTime, Kraken and Shelly then treat it as the active context via the workspace header.

Create a workspace

  • From organisation settings, add a workspace with a clear name: a client, a studio, or a personal space.
  • Set appearance and logos if the products should show that client’s brand.
  • Decide who may enter it. Unrestricted members get in; restricted members need an explicit grant.

Personal versus team

Personal workspaces are for one person’s drafts and timers. Team workspaces are for shared clients and projects. Do not dump contractor work into a personal space if you will later need to invoice it.

Clients and projects

The directory of clients is shared. TurtleTime uses it for time and invoices. Tides uses it for boards. Kraken can hang documents on the same records. Create the client once.

Archive, do not hoard

Archive a workspace when the engagement ends. It keeps history without leaving a live target in every app switcher.
